The NOW Institute is the urban research wing at Morphosis Architects located in Culver City, CA.
We are dedicated to understanding and improving urban environments through sustainable solutions across the globe. From Port-au-Prince, Cap Haitiën, New Orleans, Madrid, Beijing to Los Angeles, we work with urban communities and institutions to produce interdisciplinary strategies.
Our projects synthesize research to identify opportunities for physical planning interventions in cities around the world.
A record of The Now Institute's published research, books, and periodicals spanning urban design, planning, and architectural theory.
Our team, led by Pritzker Prize-winner Thom Mayne and Eui-Sung Yi, comprises advocates and thinkers from different fields and backgrounds.
Three thematic areas shape our inquiry into the future of cities—the transformation of post-industrial economies, urbanization in emerging Asia, and the challenges of informal settlements.
Supported by 13 schools of architecture across the country.
